POSITION DESCRIPTION:

LeTourneau University is seeking a competent, creative, and fun-loving professional to assist the Director of Alumni Engagement in building and maintaining strong, meaningful relationships with our alumni community. The Assistant will play a critical role in event coordination, communication, data management, and alumni engagement efforts that reflect the heart and mission of the university. This position requires professionalism, warmth, and the ability to interact with constituents of all backgrounds—including alumni, donors, parents, students, and faculty—with grace, respect, and enthusiasm.

 

Administrative Support

  • Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and organize meetings for the Director of Alumni Engagement
  • Maintain alumni records and contact data in the university’s CRM system
  • Assist with budget tracking, reimbursements, vendor coordination, and office organization

 

Event Support & Execution 

  • Support planning and execution of signature events like Homecoming, reunions, and alumni gatherings
  • Coordinate logistics, volunteer teams, guest communications, and event follow-up
  • Create hospitable and joyful environments that reflect Christlike service

 

Creative Communications

  • Assist in developing newsletters, event invitations, alumni stories, and digital campaigns
  • Collaborate on social media strategy and creative content that celebrates alumni impact
  • Help with photography, video content, and archiving alumni history

 

Engagement & Outreach

  • Serve as a warm and professional point of contact for alumni, parents, and friends of the university
  • Represent the Alumni Office at campus events.
  • Assist with mentorship programs and initiatives connecting students with alumni
  • Help greet alumni and guests who drop by the office

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; experience in alumni relations, student affairs, advancement, or event planning is helpful
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of people—alumni, donors, students, faculty, and vendors
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and Christian character
  • Creative thinker with attention to detail and follow-through
  • Comfortable with technology, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and digital design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Spark)
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and social media platforms a plus
  • Willingness to learn and be an efficient user of LeTourneau’s fundraising software, Raiser’s Edge, is crucial.
  • Personal commitment to Jesus Christ and alignment with the mission and values of LeTourneau University

SALARY:

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and other qualifications. LeTourneau University provides a significant benefit package, which includes medical and life insurance and contribution to a retirement program.
