Post Winery is searching for a self-starting, detail oriented Assistant Winemaker to participate in all aspects of the winemaking program. They would primarily be responsible for day to day laboratory operations, managing the quality control program, and ensuring proper data collection and record keeping.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct all day to day laboratory operations
-Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Coordinate and manage cellar activities and manage cellar staff, including record keeping and work tasking
- Manage and administer winemaking blends, trials, and tastings
- Oversee the Quality Control program, ensure compliance, and make recommendations for continuous improvements
- Work in the cellar, on the crush pad, the bottling line, and other areas as needed
- Coordinate outside analysis as needed
- Data entry for winemaking activities, ensure compliance with proper record keeping
- Participate in bulk wine operations, ensuring compliance, and quality
- Ensure laboratory results are accurate and repeatable, maintain lab equipment
- Procurement and inventory maintenance of lab and cellar supplies
- Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance in the laboratory and cellar environment
- Assist with strategic planning and budgeting for seasonal projects, harvest activities, and staffing
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations

Skills and Qualifications Required:
- 2 years of winery or beverage production experience and a BS degree
- Strong spreadsheet and word processing skills, general technology knowledge
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Commitment to crafting quality wines and juices, and providing value to customers.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, work on ladders, in different environments, and handle winery chemicals
- Must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, and reliable personal transportation
