Under supervision of the Custodian Supervisor I, the Custodian I in the Facilities Management Division (FMD), EDD is responsible for the daily cleaning of assigned building, office and/or common areas by applying sustainable work practices in the operation and maintenance of all building systems and equipment in accordance with Department of General Services (DGS) and Facilities Management Division (FMD) policies, procedures, and guidelines and the Excellence in Public Buildings Initiative.

The facility located at 800 Capitol Mall, Sacramento is scheduled to close in November 2025. The Employment Development Department (EDD) will be moving to 1416 9th Street, Sacramento. As a result, these positions will transition to the Night Shift in November 2025.
