Data Specialist II
Location Remote: Must Reside in Texas | Fully Remote
Compensation & Schedule
• $17.80–$31.00/hour DOE
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CST
• 6-month W2 contract (no overtime)
• Immediate start | Laptop provided
ROLE IMPACT
The Data Specialist II plays a critical role in supporting clinical data accuracy and registry integrity. This position ensures the timely abstraction, entry, and quality auditing of patient data to meet external registry standards and internal reporting goals. Success in this role directly improves data-driven decisions and regulatory compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform detailed data abstraction from clinical charts and wall forms for registry submission
• Enter and maintain high-volume, accurate data in internal and external systems
• Conduct advanced audits and reporting across multiple registries
• Administer and provide user support for custom reporting and registry platforms
• Manage charge entry processes, scan/file patient documentation
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years of direct data entry experience required
• Associate degree or higher preferred
• Experience in healthcare/clinical data environments preferred
• Proficiency in custom reporting and audit workflows
CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS
• External registry platforms
• Internal reporting databases
• Microsoft Excel and scanning tools
• Training/admin tools for registry support
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Prior experience supporting quality registries
• Strong attention to detail in data integrity and validation
• Effective communicator in cross-functional data environments
