General Manager — Chick-fil-A Cooper Point and Capital Mall

Full-Time | Reports directly to the Owner/Operator

Overview

We’re hiring General Managers to be the Owner/Operator’s right-hand leaders — people who can own parts of the business, lead both front-and back-of-house, and build leaders by doing the work alongside the team. This is a hands-on, full-time role: you’ll manage operations, people, and the administrative tasks that keep the restaurant running at a high level. What you’ll do

  • Operate & lead shifts — Manage assigned day parts as the on-site leader: run service, solve problems in real time, set the pace, and model Chick-fil-A standards.
  • People leadership & development — Hire, onboard, coach, and develop shift leaders and team members. Create a culture of
  • ownership and continuous improvement; promote from within.
  • Cross-functional oversight — Be fluent in FOH and BOH operations: scheduling, flow, food quality, safety, cleanliness, and guest experience.
  • Administrative ownership — Handle payroll input/oversight, scheduling, timecard reviews, inventory checkpoints, and basic P&L/Income Statement awareness. Coordinate hiring and communication with the Operator.
  • Operational excellence & compliance — Enforce food safety (ServSafe standards), cash handling, opening/closing checklists, sanitation, and safety audits.
  • Financial stewardship — Drive labor efficiency, minimize waste, control food cost, and surface improvement opportunities to the Operator.
  • Guest satisfaction & issue resolution — Own guest recovery when necessary and ensure a consistent, friendly experience.
  • Leadership development experiences — Participate in and execute leadership development plans for yourself and the team; represent the restaurant at required trainings and events.

What success looks like

  • High guest satisfaction and low complaint volume
  • Labor and food cost targets met or improved against plan
  • Low turnover among shift leaders and promoted internal leaders quarterly
  • Clean, safe operations with passing audit scores
  • Reliable, accurate administrative processes (payroll/timecards, inventory)

Qualifications & skills

  • 3+ years of leadership experience in quick-service or high-volume hospitality (preferred) — or demonstrated people/operations leadership in another fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to hire, coach, and retain hourly team members and leaders
  • Comfortable doing the job: you’ll spend significant time in operations and in the dining room — leading by example is non-negotiable
  • Strong communicator, decisive under pressure, coach-first mindset
  • Basic financial understanding (labor %, food cost, simple P&L/Income Statement concepts)
  • Availability for peak shifts (early mornings, evenings, Saturdays); flexibility required
  • Able to lift 20–30 lbs. and be on your feet for extended periods
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or industry certification a plus

Compensation

  • $25-$28 per hour (based on experience and availability)

Working conditions & schedule

  • Full-time (32+ hours), flexible schedule to cover day parts
  • Expect to work peak times and rotate weekends as needed
  • Sundays off

Primary worksite

  • Chick-fil-A Cooper Point and Capital Mall (2932Capital Mall Dr SW) and occasional travel for development
