About the Position Pacific Piano School is seeking a dedicated, experienced, and professional  piano instructor for a full-time, in-person teaching position in San Jose, CA.  We are looking for educators who are passionate about teaching and committed to supporting student growth through structured, high-quality instruction.  Successful candidates will have a strong music background evidenced by a degree in piano performance, pedagogy, performing experience, a demonstrated love of teaching, experience working with young musicians, a robust appreciation for punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a routine background check.  Ideal Master Instructor candidates will also possess the following: Masters degree/DMA preferred Ability and willingness to teach music theory classes Ability and willingness to teach piano group classes Current MTAC membership for Certificate of Merit; experience with ABRSM/RCM/CM preparation Ability and willingness to attend all school events including studio recitals, honor recitals, Fall Festival student competitions Ability and willingness to attend staff meetings Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $48-$55/hr for private lessons and $60-$120/group class. A 401(K) program with employer matching is available to all of our employees after 90 days on the job. Health benefit packages are available for all part- and full-time employees at Ensemble.
