Job Description

The Medical Lab Technician/Medical Lab Scientist is responsible for performing and analyzing complex medical laboratory tests and procedures which require the exercise of independent judgment with supervision.

Work Schedule: .5 FTE Every other weekend, 3 weekdays during the pay period.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences.
• Current certification as Medical Laboratory Technician/Scientist (MLT/MLS) by the National Board of Registry, American Society Clinical Pathology (ASCP). If not present at hire, must have within one year of start date.
• Must have valid driver's license and meet all criteria required under Lakeview's Automobile Liability Guidelines.
• Knowledge and skills sufficient to provide technical instructions and communicate and advise other departments on clinical laboratory procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-2 years experience
