Job Title: NDT Inspector - Level II

System One is partnering with our client in search of a NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Inspector Level II.

Position Overview:
As an NDT Inspector - Level II, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and safety of the company's products. This position requires a meticulous eye for detail and a strong understanding of various testing methodologies. You will be responsible for running inspections, evaluating results, and guiding junior staff, all while contributing to a positive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and standardize NDT equipment to process parts effectively.
  • Conduct inspections and accurately interpret evaluation results to determine acceptance or rejection criteria.
  • Document and communicate findings efficiently and clearly.
  • Perform system performance checks per relevant process standards.
  • Provide mentorship and supervision to Level I personnel and trainees to foster their development.
  • Collaborate with Level III inspectors in developing and refining specific test techniques.
  • Stay informed on applicable codes, standards, and contractual requirements related to NDT methods.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of relevant manufacturing and inspection technologies, contributing to quality assurance.
  • When necessary, apply basic knowledge of aircraft or vehicle maintenance to your inspections.
  • Ensure the highest standards of safety and compliance throughout the inspection process.
  • Lift items weighing up to 50 pounds as required.
  • Follow safety protocols by wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as mandated by specific testing methods.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Level II NDT certification (Magnetic Particle, NAS410).
  • Completion of Level II experience requirements; provide proof of certification and job history.
  • High school diploma; college or university degree with Level II certification/diploma preferred.
  • Certified under NAS410, EN 4179, or other recognized NDT qualification program.
  • Proficient computer skills for documentation and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong decision-making skills based on experience and data.
  • A solid safety, attendance, and punctuality track record.
  • Aerospace experience is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Willingness to be on your feet for the majority of your shift (approximately 90%).
