Gastro Health is currently looking for an enthusiastic full-time Remote Health Informatics Sr. Manager to join our team!

The Health Informatics Sr. Manager is responsible for the management, oversight, and success of regional support personnel. Coordinates, works, and leads small and large projects that require increased skill in multiple technical environments and disciplines, that have system wide impact and that may integrate across the organization. Monitors performance of systems and processes; identifying and resolving problems; preparing and completing action plans; completing audits ensuring continuous improvement.

Here are some of the duties you will be responsible for:

  • Responsible for the management, oversight, and success of regional support personnel
  • Manages Gastro Health's Health Informatics helpdesk monitoring response time, EMR vendor ticket creation, ensuring end-user satisfaction regarding responsiveness and helpdesk knowledge of EMR product
  • Manages testing and validation of EMR upgrades and patches
  • Monitors patient safety issues reported by EMR vendors communicating them with end-users as appropriate
  • Collaborates with integration teams assisting as needed with data validation, go-live preparedness, training, support and on-boarding of new care centers
  • Monitors performance of systems and processes; identifying and resolving problems; preparing and completing action plans; completing audits ensuring continuous improvement
  • Prepares department performance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
  • Responsible for ensuring efficiency in all areas of responsibility
  • Coordinate department tasks and special projects to ensure quality and timelines are met
  • Manages human resources by recruiting, selecting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; administering scheduling systems; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and evaluating performance
  • Manages employee schedules to include breaks, lunch, PTO, and over-time when approved
  • Actively participates in employee engagement by creating a positive work environment where quality and accountability are valued
  • Serve on committees as department representative
  • Accomplishes organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing projects and exploring opportunities to add values
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in health information management, healthcare management, or related field.
  • Experience in EHR / LIS information systems configuration and management, informatics, or comparable industry.
  • Requires at least 5 years of experience in the healthcare field with a focus on EHR, LIS, and data analysis
  • Three years of experience with data collection, analysis and reporting of MIPS, TJC or AAAHC
  • Proven experience in a leadership role or similar position
  • Experience in basic financial analysis (cost-effectiveness, cost-benefit etc.)
  • Knowledge of office processes, procedures, and technology
